The Lakemont Pines community is home to one of the prettier lakes in the Arnold area. The homeowners association is mandatory and dues are $475/year for improved properties and $408/year for unimproved properties. There is a large, year-round lake, clubhouse, snack bar and many summer activities. The Lakemont Pines residents are very community-oriented and they hold a number of pot-lucks and work days throughout the year. The homes in the area run the whole gamut of a small 2 bedroom, 1 bath fixer-upper, to brand-new, majestic log cabins. A few of the homes have a view of the lake and several of the roads end in National Forest areas where you can find lots of hiking trails and a few mountain streams. Lakemont Pines is well suited for both full-time and second home residences and can be a good choice for a vacation rental property. The homes here receive their water through Calaveras County Water District and they are on individual septic systems.
