The Meadowmont subdivision has been the backbone of the Arnold area for many years. Residents who decide to buy in this area have a wide range of options from which to choose. You can find a home close to town, walking distance to the grocery store, coffee shop, pharmacy and the Mark Twain Medical Center. Or, you can live further in Meadowmont which borders the National Forest. You can have a nicely treed site, or one that is open and sunny. You can choose an older home to fix up, or realize your dream of building your own special place. Homeowners in this area must belong to the association, but there are no recreational areas connected with the Meadowmont community. You can join as a social member to Sequoia Woods Country Club, or full golf membership, either way you can take advantage of all their amenities, including the new gym right across the street from the club! The dues, which currently runs $24/year, includes a newsletter, snow removal and 4th of July picnic. Homes here are served by Calaveras County Water District and most are on septic systems.
